Sept. 2 (LNGJ) - Bechtel Inc., the world's leading LNG liquefaction plant builder, has won a contract to manage the construction of 12 pipelines for Thailand which is expanding its natural gas, power and LNG networks. San Francisco-based Bechtel will organize the engineering and procurement for the gas pipelines with receiving stations. The contracting company is Gulf MP Company Ltd of Thailand. "Bechtel is looking forward to its continued contribution to Thailand's economy through employment of Thai colleagues and further development of the country's energy infrastructure," said Jack Futcher, president of Bechtel's Oil, Gas and Chemicals business unit in Houston.
