Aug 14 (LNGJ) - Imports of LNG by Argentina rose almost 34 percent in July compared with the year ago period. Argentina's two LNG import facilities at Bahia Blanca and at Escobar, north of Buenos Aires, handled 1.47 million tonnes of LNG in the month compared with 1.10MT in July 2014 as the nation prepared for the peak Southern Hemisphere winter season and higher electricity demand. Argentina imported 4.42MT of the fuel during the whole of 2014.
