July 16 (LNGJ) - Hoegh LNG, the Norwegian fleet operator and project developer, has taken a financial hit by selling the 1979-built Moss-type carrier "LNG Libra" into China. Hoegh finally offloaded the 126,000 cubic metres ship which it bought in August 2011 as a candidate for a conversion into a Floating LNG facility that failed to transpire. Hoegh President and Chief Executive Sveinung J. S. Stohle, said the vessel "was acquired to meet the bid conditions for a specific FSRU project as a conversion candidate.”
