World’s First ME-GIE ethane engine completed

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) completed the world’s first ME-GIE ethane-operated 2-stroke diesel engine at the end of last month.
This type of engine will be fitted on board three ethylene carriers, which will also carry ethane as cargo.
