OLT Offshore LNG Toscana has tendered for an LNG cargo required for the FSRU’s cool-down and gas-up operations.
These are necessary for cooling the LNG storage tanks and the cryogenic parts of the plant and to put gas into the terminal.
This follows the completion of her emergency repairs, which mainly involved the replacing of a mooring bearing on the turret.
The first phase of the repair job was undertaken in Genoa in June, after which she was towed to a Marseille shipyard to have the bearing replaced in drydock.
She has now arrived back on site off Livorno, where she was re-moored ready to be re-connected to Italy’s national grid network.
This work is scheduled for completion next month.
