Greek energy company, DESFA’s auction for unloading slots and gasification capacity at the Revithoussa LNG terminal for 2023/2027 attracted strong interest from both domestic and foreign users, the company claimed.
Last month, annual planning for the years 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 was finalised, while the relevant process for 2027 was also recently completed.
For 2023, all 26 slots offered were reserved. Overall, eight interests participated in the process, with the offered slots being reserved by four domestic and three foreign users.
Taking into account the auctions carried out in 2021, for 2023, some 43 slots were reserved. The reserved gasification capacity for this year corresponds to 80% of the terminal’s regasification capacity.
For 2024, 25 of the 30 total offered slots were reserved involving nine users, of which five were domestic and three international. Adding the results of the 2021 auction, the interests reserved 40 of the 45 available slots. The reserved gasification capacity for 2024 corresponds to 72% of Revithoussa’s regasification capacity.
For 2025, 30 out of the 45 offered slots were reserved by five domestic and one foreign user. The reserved gasification capacity for that year corresponds to 55% of the regasification capacity.
For 2026, 21 out of the 45 offered slots were reserved involving three domestic and one foreign participant. The reserved gasification capacity corresponded to 47%, which covers almost half of Revithoussa's regasification capacity for 2026.
Finally, for 2027, 21 of the total 45 offered slots were reserved by one domestic and one foreign user. This reserved gasification capacity corresponded to 28% of the terminal’s regasification capacity.
