New Fortress Energy (NFE) has filed applications with the US Maritime Administration (MarAd), the US Coast Guard (USCG) and US Department of Energy (DoE) for permits and regulatory approvals to build and operate an offshore LNG liquefaction terminal off the Louisiana coast.
