Navigational marine electronics services and connectivity company, Sandvik Marine Services, currently has around 60 LNGCs on its books worldwide.
The company’s World Service Manager, John King, told LNG Shipping News that the company has long term agreements with the shipmanagement arms of BW Gas, Golar and Wilhelmsen, among others to service their LNGC fleets.
The vessels include the Golar FSRUs operating in Brazil, which are required to move every so often, a Wilhelmsen managed FSRU in Turkey and the ‘LNG Croatia’, operating as an FSRU on the island of Krk.
Among the other vessels serviced recently were the ‘LNG Kano’, ‘LNG Benue’, ‘LNG Lokoja’, ‘Singapore Energy’, ‘Merchant’, ‘Berge Arzew’, ‘BW Tatiana’ (undergoing conversion in Singapore), ‘BW Paris’, Golar Freeze’, ‘Golar Igloo’ and ‘BW Pavilion Vanda’.
Sandvik is also an agent for Consilium, looking after the company’s VDRs and Speed logs and has recently taken on the representation for Chinese ballast water management system supplier Headway.
The company is also approved by most of the major class societies and recently renewed its DNV certificate.
Sandvik has offices in Spain, Singapore and Houston, while representatives are based in Panama and Gdansk, Poland.
