In respect of recent US court hearings regarding Deputy Chairman of PAO NOVATEK’s Management Board, Mark Gyetvay’s alleged tax fraud, circulating in the media, the company has made a statement.
As far as known from US law enforcement reports, currently Gyetvay is the subject of a court hearing regarding alleged personal tax evasion, NOVATEK explained.
The company claimed that it was not involved in the litigation and does not have any details of the court hearings. It is monitoring the situation and will give all necessary support.
For many years, Gyetvay has been the company’s main representative for the professional and investment community, making invaluable contribution to NOVATEK’s success.
In 2014, Gyetvay left NOVATEK’s Board as CFO, and according to an internal order, was not subsequently involved in the company’s financial activities, including attracting financing.
This situation has no effect on NOVATEK’s operational and financial activities, the company stressed.
