HySynGas project to mix LNG with green hydrogen

Monday, 03 June 2019

Considering a future German LNG terminal in Brunsbüttel, northern Germany, local grid operators are seeking to realize the first industrial-scale Power-to-Gas project nearby. Called HySynGas, the project will turn renewable energy from nearby wind parks into hydrogen and syngas, usable as a vehicle fuel or for power generation. Some of the green syngas will be mixed with imported LNG to help adjust the overall gas quality.
