Sempra Energy resolves issues with Cameron LNG contractors

The $10 billion EPC contract was signed in 2014 between Sempra and CB&I, now merged with McDermott International, and the dispute includes financial claims relating to contract completions in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

“We continue to believe this agreement puts both the contractor and Sempra in a stronger position to meet the current schedule,” said Sempra CEO Jeff Martin in a conference call. The new agreement to bring Cameron LNG onstream provides incentive bonus payments related to completion and waivers any schedule-related damages from the original contract.
