GE Vernova has embarked on a pre-feasibility study of direct air capture (DAC) powered by nuclear energy – helped by $3.3 million in federal funding. Tests are carried out at a regional DAC hub near Houston, Texas, as the US government supports the technology in an effort to mitigate fossil fuel emissions in the industrial and power generation sector.
