US oil giant Exxon Mobil is planning large investments in oil and gas upstream to rebalance the market, and is on track for a 2024 start-up of the Golden Pass LNG export plant in Texas. The three liquefaction trains will produce about 16 mtpa of LNG with ExxonMobil and partner QatarEnergy marketing their own volumes.
