Restart of operations at Freeport LNG in early November will bring some relief to tight European gas markets as utility buyers seek to keep the lights on this winter. Freeport is aimed to ramp up to 2 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d), about 15 percent of US LNG export capacity, by the end of November – with Uniper and RWE vying to secure spot cargoes.
