Canadian LNG “only a medium-term solution"

Though Canada agreed to export green hydrogen to Germany, Chancellor Olaf Scholz does not want to give up the option of building LNG terminals on the Canadian Atlantic coast within the next five years. Jonathan Wilkinson, the Canadian minister for natural resources cautioned LNG exports are “only a medium-term solution” simply because the costs of liquefying gas from Alberta are too high.
