ExxonMobil seeks to expand earnings from Permian Basin

Though ExxonMobil had to write down billions on its American gas assets, the oil major seeks to boost profits from its Permian Basin shale activities. “In 2020, capital expenditures in the Permian were 35 percent below plan,“ CEO Darren W. Woods said, but stressed the company’s plans are for Permian volumes of approximately 700,000 oil equivalent barrels per day by 2025.
