Monday, 16 March 2020

Global LNG trade increased by 6.05 million tonnes (+9.5%) m/m in December. As usual, the Pacific Basin lead by overall volumes, owed to the sheer demand of gas within the Basin almost all year round. Accordingly, regional trade there remained well above November levels, resulting in a 2.26 million tonnes trade increase (+6.9%) m/m.

December trade in the Atlantic Basin grew even more robustly by 2.99 million tonnes (+15.7%) whilst the Middle East Basin increased trade by a more modest of 0.81 million tonnes (6.6%) over the same month.
