Golden Pass LNG achieved first production on 30 March, bringing nominally 6mtpa of new US export capacity online just as QatarEnergy's domestic operations remain crippled by Iranian strikes and the Hormuz blockade. The startup offers a partial offset rather than a solution, but it makes Golden Pass QatarEnergy's sole functioning LNG export platform outside the conflict-stricken Persian Gulf.
