Santos Ltd, the Australian operator of two liquefied natural gas export plants and a principal shareholder in Papua New Guinea LNG assets, has signed a long-term supply agreement with the Japanese utility, Hokkaido Gas Co. The new supply agreement comes at a time when Japanese LNG demand remains on a modest but persistent downward trend, our data indicates.
