Malaysia Seeks to Increase LNG Supply to Japan

Malaysia’s national hydrocarbons champion Petronas has announced it is ready to not only maintain its LNG supply to Japan but also to increase it. Several contracts between Petronas and Japanese utilities are due to expire by the end of next year. Notably, Petronas managed to increase and sustain production after it had warned at the end of 2021 it may have to cut cargoes for some time.
