Fire Causes Another Shut Down of Norway’s Snøhvit LNG

Following scheduled maintenance in May and June this year, Europe’s only LNG production plant was taken out of action again by unscheduled maintenance in early September and a subsequent fire on Monday. A planned cargo lifting via the LNGC Arctic Lady was not completed earlier this month, our data indicates, with additional vessel capacity likely to be idled offshore Hammerfest until work is found elsewhere in October.
