The Atlantic Basin LNG market has received a temporary shake-up as US natural gas prices have soared more than 20 percent during the past week, closing the gap on European prices after positive economic news boosted the energy sector.

Golar LNG Energy said it signed an agreement to sell LNG from the Gladstone coal-seam-gas-to-LNG project at Fisherman's Landing in Australia to Japanese trading company Toyota Tsusho Corp.

Fluor Corp., the US LNG and energy engineering contractor, said it had formally completed a $1.5 billion contract for ancillary work for RasGas Co. in Qatar that helped enable the construction of the world’s largest LNG Trains.

Netherlands-based 4Gas, currently with a development portfolio of several LNG import terminals and a stake in Dragon LNG in the UK, received a permit in Nova Scotia, Canada, for a send-out pipeline from its Maple LNG project.
