The Ichthys LNG project, a joint venture between Japanese energy company Inpex and France’s Total, said it was inviting tenders for a semi-submersible central processing facility at the Ichthys natural gas field in the Timor Sea offshore Northwest Australia.

BG Group announced it planned to go ahead with an investment of US$15 billion in constructing the Queensland Curtis LNG project after receiving all Australian environmental approvals, and intended to begin construction work immediately.

Australia Pacific LNG, a joint venture coal-seam-gas-to-LNG project involving ConocoPhillips and Origin Energy, has been given the all-clear after independent analysis of suspected water pollution by fracture stimulation of CSG exploration wells in parts of Queensland.

A first LNG cargo was delivered to a new jetty at National Grid’s Isle of Grain LNG import terminal, located about 45 miles southeast of London, as the facility completes a $490 million expansion project.
