The International Energy Agency said in its latest medium-term natural gas analysis that in the short term, gas markets will need to cope with a flood of new LNG supplies, though current low prices should see markets start to tighten substantially by 2020, with supply gradually being absorbed.

The 26th World Gas Conference Paris entered its third day after considering issues raised by chief executives of oil majors urging a global take-off for liquefied natural gas and pipeline supplies while urging more shale-gas production in other countries outside the US.
