Japanese power utilities import and use less LNG despite prices hitting new lows

The 10 major Japanese power utilities, who are also liquefied natural gas users and importers, received over 6 percent fewer shipments of LNG last month than in the same period of 2014, and used 8 percent less of the regasified fuel to generate electricity despite prices hitting new lows.
