Panama gets US funds amid plan for expanded Canal to have LNG terminal

The US has awarded a grant to the Panama Canal Authority to support the planning of a liquefied natural gas import terminal that could offer cleaner power or fuel bunkering when the expanded Canal starts operations in 2016 for LNG carriers and other larger ships.
