Japanese liquefied natural gas imports plunged 11.4 percent last month as the world's largest buyer of the fuel spent 45 percent less than at the same time a year ago.
The May imports dropped to 5.75 million tonnes and cost Japan 315.4 billion yen ($2.5 billion) compared with the higher shipments in May 2014 of 6.49MT at a cost of 564Bln yen ($4.57Bln).
