Chinese liquefied natural gas imports are on track to improve on last year’s record number of shipments as the North Asian nation heads for a total of more than 60 million tonnes of cargoes for the year through December 2019 as environmental curbs are tightened, offsetting reduced energy needs because of the economic slowdown.
