Malaysia may loosen monopoly of Petronas and plans closer LNG links with Thailand

The Malaysian government is considering loosening the monopoly of state-owned energy company Petronas on natural gas supply as it pursues Floating LNG ventures for production and regasification and considers closer cooperation with Thailand on LNG.
