US on track for substantial LNG exports from record gas levels as imports tumble

US liquefied natural gas imports have declined to a trickle as they fell almost 40 percent last year while data just released showed a 6 percent increase in US natural gas production in 2014 to 25,718 billion cubic feet (Bcf), a record level.
