French energy major Total has been awarded a 40 percent concession by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, owner of the Das Island LNG export plant and other assets, in the Ruwais Diyab unconventional gas basin which Total says has the potential to be a high impact play ranking alongside the most prolific North American shale-gas plays.
