Japanese LNG imports rise even at high prices amid nuclear restarts and more coal shipments

Japanese liquefied natural gas imports rose by 4.4 percent last month compared with the year-ago period even as more nuclear power was on line as LNG cargo costs jumped by more than 28 percent and the nation opted for more thermal coal imports.
