Petronas earnings benefit from energy price rises and pulling out of Pacific Northwest LNG

Malaysian energy company Petronas said second-quarter net profit more than doubled compared with the same quarter of 2017 because of higher oil and gas revenues and the absence of investment costs related to the Pacific Northwest LNG project in Canada that affected 2017 earnings.
