Japanese LNG imports edge higher as costs rebound and Australian and US cargoes rise

Japanese liquefied natural gas imports ended the year with a rally after falling for four months as the world’s largest importer took delivery of 83.63 million tonnes of LNG in 2017, though there were fewer shipments from traditional suppliers in Asia and the Middle East and more cargoes delivered from Australia and new supplier, the US.
