Origin Energy raises US$1.24Bln from asset sale to help pay off high costs of Australian LNG plant

Origin Energy, a major shareholder in the Australia Pacific LNG export plant, has sold its Lattice Energy subsidiary to Australian company Beach Energy for A$1.58 billion (US$1.24Bln) as it seeks to recover from the high costs of setting up the APLNG project in the East Coast state of Queensland.
