Japanese monthly LNG imports fall as cargo costs soar and nation opts for more thermal coal

Japanese liquefied natural gas imports dropped 6 percent last month as cargo costs continued to rise and shipments from Australia and the spot market were favoured over Asian and Middle East volumes.
