US LNG shipments rise after hurricane as domestic usage falls and shale gas hits $1 level

US liquefied natural gas exports have increased since LNG carrier liftings resumed at the Cheniere Energy-owned Sabine Pass liquefaction plant on the Louisiana Gulf Coast after Hurricane Harvey, as the nation's domestic natural gas consumption showed a notable drop and shale-gas prices plunged.
