Total to proceed with Vaca Muerta shale-gas project to lessen Argentine LNG import needs

French energy major Total has sanctioned the development of the first phase of the Aguada Pichana Este project in the giant Vaca Muerta shale-gas play in Argentina that will lessen the South American nation’s dependence on LNG imports.
