Turkey deploys first floating LNG terminal at Izmir to boost cargo shipments and energy security

Turkey is expected to import more liquefied natural gas this winter to improve energy security and will use its first chartered Floating Storage and Regasification Unit, now deployed at Izmir in the Aegean Sea and close to one of two existing Turkish onshore LNG import terminals.
