The International Maritime Organization has made a key decision that will boost liquefied natural gas use as a fuel for shipping. The IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee has agreed on a 0.5 percent global sulphur cap on maritime fuel from 2020, rather than a proposal to allow a delay until 2025.
