Italian energy company Eni has resumed exploration activities onshore Tunisia in the Sahara desert, about 700 kilometres south of Tunis, as it tries to match its North African natural gas successes in the East Mediterranean offshore Egypt and in the Nile Delta as well as in Algeria.
