Panama Canal set for June 26 inauguration of expanded waterway to handle LNG carriers

The Panama Canal Authority, the body that operates the waterway linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, will inaugurate its expansion work on June 26 to allow for the transit of larger ships, including liquefied natural gas carriers.
