Panama Canal to be ready for LNG carrier traffic after official opening on June 26

The expanded section of the Panama Canal is expected to be officially opened on June 26, 2016, when it will be able to accommodate larger vessels such as liquefied natural gas carriers transiting and returning on the Atlantic-Pacific route.
