Shell and BG agree $70Bln cash and share offer to create LNG industry global giant

Royal Dutch Shell and BG Group have agreed a cash and share offer by Shell to purchase the UK-based liquefied natural gas portfolio company at a cost of $70 billion, a more than 50 percent premium to the last closing price of BG shares to create a global giant in the LNG market.
