LNG marine fuel plans delayed as other options chosen to meet emission rules

Plans to increase the global fleet of LNG-fuelled vessels will be a slow process in Northwest Europe and North America even after the introduction of emission control areas since January 1 as operators have mostly opted to use cleaner distillate fuels or exhaust-cleaning systems known as scrubbers.
