Japanese LNG imports fall almost 8 percent but strong dollar offsets the yen of importers

Japanese LNG imports fell 7.9 percent last month as dollar-based, long-term contract prices linked to oil fell to levels of more than five years ago, though this has been offset by the strong dollar keeping the cost of cargoes in yen converted by importers at a high level.
