Dispute over cost overruns may delay Panama Canal expansion for LNG carriers

A European engineering and construction consortium said the Panama Canal Authority has two weeks left to settle a dispute caused by an additional $1.6 billion of costs it has added to the Canal expansion project on which US Gulf Coast LNG export projects are dependent.
