US government holds talks with Japanese on easing LNG transits of Panama Canal

The US Federal Maritime Commission met Japanese officials and executives from LNG buyers such as Mitsubishi Corp. and Chubu Electric to discuss US LNG cargo exports and the tolling arrangements for LNG carriers transiting the widened Panama Canal after 2015.
