Japanese monthly LNG imports decline 1.8 percent but prices stay high at $800 a tonne

Japanese LNG imports slipped 1.8 percent last month because of energy-saving measures and the high cost of spot cargoes, but the nation's LNG bill continued to rise on a year-on-year basis, though was not as high as in recent months.
