Woodside to pay half-billion dollars to keep investors sweet after Browse LNG dropped

Woodside, the operator of two Australian LNG plants and which has just cancelled the $45 billion Browse liquefaction project, will return about $500 million to shareholders in a sort of compensation through a special dividend.
